Where are you based?
My home makeup studio is based in Yateley, Hampshire.
However, I do travel for weddings, photo shoots and group bookings.
I cover most areas in Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire, as well as occasionally cover London, Essex and Kent (upon request).
When should I have my bridal trial and how long does it take?
I recommend having your bridal makeup trial 2/3 months before your wedding day. However, you can have your bridal trial whenever you feel comfortable.
Trial appointments typically take 1.5 to 2 hours.
Bridal trials are at my home studio in Yateley, Hampshire.
Do you require a deposit/booking fee to secure my makeup booking?
Bridal makeup Bookings
Yes, firstly we will book your bridal trial to make sure you are completely happy with your makeup - a non refundable booking fee is required to secure your trial date (this also secures your wedding date until 48 hours after your bridal trial).
If you're happy with your bridal makeup and you would like to book me for your wedding day, a non refundable booking fee of 25% of the total booking will be required to secure your wedding date.
Example:- Trial = £75. If you're happy with the trial and would like to book me for your wedding day, I require 25% of the total remaining booking price.
Bridal make up = £195, minus £75 already paid for your bridal trial = £120
A 25% non refundable booking fee is required to secure your day, 25% of £120 = £30
Once the deposit has been paid, this will leave you with £90 left to pay for the day.
** The remaining balance is due 7 days before your wedding day **
Special Occasion Makeup Bookings
A £20 non refundable booking fee is required to secure all other bookings (excluding photo shoots).
Your deposit will be deducted from your booking price and you will be required to pay the remaining balance on the day of your booking.
A deposit is always taken as multiple booking requests maybe received and this ensures that you/other clients aren't disappointed unnecessarily, this also secures your appointment.
* Please note:- if you have contacted me requesting a date and time to book, no booking fee has been sent after my request and you have not received an appointment confirmation from me, you do not have an appointment booked; I do not hold appointments without a booking fee *
When I pay my booking fee for my bridal makeup trial, does this also reserve my wedding date?
Yes!
Your wedding date will be reserved until 48 hours after your bridal trial.
I will follow up with you a day or two after your trial to see how you got on with your makeup and if you would like to go ahead for the day.
After this time, if I have not had a response from you after trying to contact you it will be removed from my diary and the date will be released to accommodate other bookings.
How far in advance should I book you for my wedding makeup and do you have a minimum booking policy?
I am taking bookings a year in advance, so sooner the better to ensure your wedding date is secured.
Yes, I have a minimum booking policy of bride + 2 people.
However, during off peak dates I may accept single bride bookings and smaller bridal parties (single bride bookings are £295.00 including your trial).
I have a large bridal party, are you able to do the makeup for all of us?
If you have a large bridal party, please ensure you advise me of the size of your party upon booking.
I am occasionally assisted by other local freelance makeup artists who help with large bridal parties, they come and work alongside me to ensure everyone has their makeup completed on time.
This is subject to assistant makeup artists being available and will be confirmed at the point of booking.
If I am able to accommodate your large bridal party alone on the day and arrival time is before 7:00am, the booking will be subject to an early arrival fee of £50.00 which will be added to your final balance.

Please note: assistant makeup artists do NOT work for me, they work on a freelance basis under their on business names.
If you have a larger bridal party and need a second makeup artist, I’m happy to suggest a few local makeup artists who I have worked with previously so you can choose who you would prefer - I’m happy to contact them to see if they are available, or of course you can do this yourself.
Therefore, I can take no responsibility for their quality of work, neither do I have control over their monies - should any issue arise due to quality of work, or monies this should be dealt with directly with the assistant makeup artist.
I'm going to be late for my appointment, what should I do?
I kindly ask that my clients are on time for appointments.
If you are delayed, please let me know as soon as possible. If you are going to be late for your appointment, this will unfortunately have a knock on effect for my next client and the next…. who may be late for their special occasion or may result in cancellation.
Please note, in between my clients I have to re-prepare my studio and ensure all equipment is sanitized.
I understand that some circumstances are out of your control. However, please plan your journey as best you can to ensure you will not hit any traffic jams, etc on route for your appointment.
(FYI - Waze Sat Nav App is the best!)
Therefore, if you are late by 15 minutes or more, your appointment will either be cancelled/or booked for a later time on the day, so that it doesn't effect the rest of my diary appointments.
** This is diary permitting, if I have no space on the day then the appointment will have to be cancelled and you will forfeit your booking fee **
Cancellations
For all bookings, I politely ask for 24 hours notice of cancellation - booking fees are non refundable.
I totally understand that sometimes things arise and you may not be able to make your appointment. However, if you have an appointment confirmed in my diary, you do not show up for your appointment (and have not contacted me to inform me), no refund of booking fee will be given and will not be able book in with me again!
If you cannot make your appointment, please contact me to inform me :)
Why are booking fees non refundable? A booking fee is a commitment by both parties to have me as your makeup artist, whether it be for your wedding, or special occasion.
If anyone else enquiries about the same appointment you already have secured, then they are turned away meaning the appointment is exclusively yours! Therefore, if you cancel your booking, I cannot guarantee filling that date with another wedding/special occasion, which of course is a financial loss.
Payments
You can pay via bank transfer or cash.
Cheques/Paypal are not accepted.
Do you charge travelling costs?
Locations within 10 miles of Yateley, Hampshire are not subject to a travel fee.
If your location is 10 miles + outside of that radius, there will be a 45p per mile (to include return journey) added to your booking balance.
Car parking fees, train tickets, congestion/ulez charges may be added to your final balance, if required.
What if you are unwell/we have extreme weather on my wedding day?
In the case that I am really too unwell to attend, I am part of a large community of makeup artists locally who I would contact in an attempt to find you a professional replacement.
I would of course, provide you with a full refund.
Please note: For all bridal makeup, notes of products, photos and makeup look details are taken. Therefore, should anyone need to take my place as your makeup artist due to extreme illness this will be passed on to ensure your look is not altered on the day.
In the case of extreme weather conditions (eg: heavy snow) I will do my upmost best to get to you. However, if it is far too dangerous to travel then I will provide you will a full refund.
