Where do I even start with Emily? What a BABE!

Back in January 2022, she came across my Instagram page whilst she was looking for a makeup artist for her wedding day that was in 2023 (wedding supplier diaries book up quickly, so if you find a supplier you like … book them well in advance).

Emily had a large bridal party and was about to move to Australia, so she had a lot to organise. I’ve always promised a stress free makeup experience, so I arranged for a second makeup artist to attend on the morning of the wedding to ensure the bridal party were ready on time, could have a later start time and we agreed she would have her trial a couple of weeks before the wedding day when she returned from OZ for the wedding - wahooo, makeup booked!

As soon as I met Emily, I knew that she was going to be a sensational bride! She’s a fun, bubbly energy and she’s so friendly. As a makeup artist, you really want to gel with your brides because their wedding mornings are so important and you want the energy in the room to be the best it can be for them.

She was very easy going when it came to her makeup, completely put her trust in me to make her look the best version of herself. It’s always scary for a makeup artist when your bride’s say “make me look good”, “I trust you”… because visions may not be the same. However, (thankfully) Emily loved her makeup!

And, we were all set for the wedding in the couple of weeks.

WEDDING MORNING - WASING PARK ESTATE, HOME FARM COTTAGE

I arrived at Home Farm Cottage (the larger of the cottages) bright and early to start makeup.

Emily’s makeup was what I would call ‘my signature bridal makeup’ - a soft, defined, naturally sun kissed, timeless, long lasting bridal makeup and we decided on bronze tones on the eyes to compliment her blue eyes and Australia bronzed skin!

I was closely guarding something top secret.…. Emily was pregnant! And, could rush off at any moment with morning sickness, so we had to disguise it as much as possible, but she was fine.

I spent approx. 4/5 hours at Wasing Park with Emily and the whole time heard a little voice …

“Can I have my makeup done?” “Can my turn be next?”

It was little Macey (Emily’s niece), she was just about tall enough to climb up into my makeup chair with a little push up from me. I suggested that she have the makeup I only do for princesses (glitter on the lids, blush and a pink lip gloss). I received a message from Emily after the wedding saying that Macey is my biggest fan and still talks about the makeup that she got to wear at the wedding - so CUTE!

The bride and her bridal party were ready on time and were all set to head over to the bridal suite to put their dresses on.

Congratulations Mr and mrs sayers!

It really was a pleasure to be a part of Emily’s wedding day, I had such a lovely morning with Emily and her bridal party at Wasing Park Estate.

I take my hat off to venues who need to keep a pregnancy under wraps! Do you know how they do it? Guest buys the bride a drink, the bar will swap the drink out for a non alcoholic alternative so that nobody suspects, brilliant!

Emily has since announced she is expecting a baby girl and she will be the best mummy!
